The Psalms speak of the creation showing the glory of God, and yet that is not sufficient for anyone to have communion with Him. With God being holy and all mankind sinful, a mediator is needed. Hence, to have communion with the Creator, one must believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their personal sin. Because he holds his priesthood permanently and lives to make intercession for us, the writer of Hebrews says, "Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25
Soli Del Gloria - To God Alone Be The Glory.
"Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
save in the death of Christ, my God;
all the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to his blood.
See, from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down:
did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were a present far too small;
love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all.
vs. 2-4 "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross"
- Issac Watts.
